New Rec Centre Activity Guide Features Mini-Crow
Date: February 24, 2015
Check out the Spring 2015 Activity Program Guide for the City of Kelowna, released today. It features the triumphant smile of Grady Curran, youngest son of George and Sandra Curran, as he participates in last year's Crows mini-rugby program.
This year, the guide features two rugby options for Central Okanagan youth, both featured on page 18.
(A) Crows Mini -Rugby - Get your kids involved in the great game of touch rugby, which is played by millions of children worldwide. Touch rugby involves passing, running, and team play. It's a great way to get together with other children and have some fun learning rugby. Coached by the Kelowna Crows RFC. No class May 17.
Ages 4 - 8; Sundays, 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM, April 19 - June 14, Fee: $32
(B) Touch Sevens for Boys and Girls - The Touch Sevens Rugby Program is open to girls and boys aged 9-10 and 11-12. Touch Sevens focuses on team play and the development of running, passing and catching skills. Touch Sevens is a great complement to soccer for all-around development of youth basic skills, coordination, and fitness. No class May 17.
