Heat Rises to Top Position in Touch Rugby

Date: July 26, 2016

Summer Touch Rugby Update
Week Four

Week Four Highlights
- The Heat is rising.  Two big victories over tough teams push Heat of the Moment to the top of the charts.
- Four teams are tied for second with 6 win/2 loss records.  Only some will make the Dai Dobbs playoffs.
- With new teams in the league, the 'point differential' tie-breaker is unfortunate.
- Next year, we'll put a 'maximum differential' cap on a team victory at 10 points.
- There is a great spirit on the fields – many are commenting how few 'yappers' there are.  Credit to all the players.
- Thanks again to the refs – nobody wants to do it.  Everyone knows referees aren't perfect.

The Week After Next News
- No games next week – next games – August 8.
- Week Five features some vital games.
- Kiss Our Aces play Mellow Yellow – the winner will likely grab the #8 spot in the Silver Cup competition.
- Nuts & Jugs play Riskey Wicks.  Last year's winners are just 2 points back and need a win to make the top four.
- The Jugs will need to also beat the Scarecrows, a scary side who play at a high work rate that is tough to defend.
- The Heat can clinch top spot with wins over The Rohirrim and Scrum-tuous.
