CORE Annual General Meeting is November 24, 2018 @ 6 PM at the Capri Hotel

It's going to be an interesting AGM.

We have the great honor of hosting flanker Nanyak Dala as our guest speaker at the 2018 CORE Annual General Meeting.  Nanyak got his first XVs cap in 2007 against the USA as part of the now defunct Churchill Cup competition between England, the US, Canada, and whoever else they felt like inviting.  Nanyak enjoyed a win in his first Canada match, drubbing the US 52 - 10.

His next Canada match was in Chicago, where he scored two tries in a 26 - 10 win over the Americans.  By the end of his XVs career in 2015, Nanyak had played 37 matches wearing the maple leaf against 16 different countries.  He enjoyed two World Cups in 2011 and 2015 and had an extensive career in sevens, playing in 28 tournaments for Canada.  He has a very current perspective of rugby in our nation and will share some interesting perspectives about our sport.

This AGM will also feature a look at the Okanagan Centre for Sport, a proposal submitted to the City of Kelowna for a facility that will provide a home for rugby in the Central Okanagan.

This year's AGM is at the Capri Hotel.  It is in a different room from last year - Horizon North, which is on the 2nd floor of the hotel.  The AGM begins at 6:00 PM.  Dinner will be at 7:00 and Nanyak will speak at 8:00.

Tickets are $40 for the dinner.  All CORE members have already paid as part of their membership.  Contact Doug Manning to register for this year's most excellent AGM. (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
