Bill Creasy was a key contributor to the revitalization of rugby in Salmon Arm.
Thanks in part to his coaching at Jackson Junior High, the Salmon Arm high school boys side made the provincials in 1990. Bill was also a co-founder and coach of the Salmon Arm Secondary girls rugby program in 1996.
His most visible contribution to Salmon Arm rugby was the uprights he planted on the pitch to declare Salmon Arm as a place where rugby is played.
He was a key part of a solid front row for the Priest Valley Vicars for many seasons. Bill travelled with the Vicars to the U.S., a few World Cups and some international festivals. Bill truly enjoyed playing the game of rugby and always shared a joke or story or a pint.
He is missed by his family and friends.
The Priest Valley Vicars have made a donation to the CORE Endowment Fund in Bill's name.
